Take Your Beauty Education to the Next Level

Want to maximize your beauty education? Adrian’s College offers a 1,500-hour cosmetology program where you can get more time for hands-on experience and advanced training. You can learn in a supportive, welcoming atmosphere with like-minded aspiring beauty professionals working to master the fundamentals of hair, skin, and nail care. Building on everything offered in our 1,000-hour program, students in this course can benefit from more time to work with real clients in our student salon under the supervision of our experienced, caring educators.

This program also includes an optional 4-week advanced course (additional kit required), so you can receive specialized training that refines your skills and builds your confidence as a beauty professional. If your dream is to become a licensed cosmetologist, our 1,500-hour cosmetology program can help prepare you to sit for the California State Board exam and launch your new beauty career.

See What Our Students Have To Say

I'm a student here and I love it! I've tried other schools and they weren't as thorough. Most only focused on passing board. Adrian's not only focuses on that you can pass state board testing, but they also make sure you have the skills to succeed in the salon and beauty industry!

Build Your Skills, Build Your Confidence, Build Your Future

If you want to go all-in on your beauty education, our 1,500-hour cosmetology course may be the perfect fit. This extended course offers an optional 4-week advanced class (additional kit required). It’s ideal for those who want to maximize their hands-on experience and build advanced skills to prepare them for a future career in the beauty industry. Like our 1,000-hour cosmetology course, we use the Milady learning system, a well-known name in beauty education. It blends theory with hands-on application, helping prepare students to sit for state licensing exams and ready themselves for a cosmetology career.

Along with everything included in our 1,000-hour cosmetology program, students in our extended program can also participate in:

Extended Hands-On Training

As a student in our 1,500-hour beauty school program, you can spend more time on the salon floor practicing real-world scenarios under the guidance of skilled instructors. This additional time can help increase your confidence, build up your speed, and refine your technical expertise when working with clients.

Optional 4-Week Advanced Classes

This program includes the choice to take 4 weeks of specialized training designed to help you refine your skills in key areas. You can dive deeper into areas like hairstyling, chemical services, or business techniques to help you become salon-ready upon graduation. An additional kit is required.

FAQs About Our 1,500 Hour Cosmetology Program

How long does it take to complete the 1,500-hour cosmetology program?

It depends on your schedule. We offer both full-time and part-time options. Full-time students can complete the 1,500 clock hours required in as little as 50 weeks, while part-time students may finish in as little as 75 weeks. The state only requires 1,000 clock hours for licensure. You can choose our 1,000-hour cosmetology program if you don’t wish to take the optional advanced course.

Do you offer financial aid?

Yes! Adrian’s College is proud to offer financial aid to those who qualify. You can contact our financial aid team to learn more about all of your financial aid options. We strongly recommend all prospective beauty school students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) to start the financial aid process. When submitting your FAFSA, include the school code #007187. Adrian’s Beauty College of Tracy is a branch of North Adrian’s College of Beauty and uses the same code for financial aid purposes.

What's the difference between the 1,000-hour and 1,500-hour cosmetology programs?

Both programs offer a comprehensive beauty curriculum. However, the 1,500-hour program offers additional time for hands-on training with educators on our salon floor. It also includes an optional 4-week advanced course where you can further refine your skills. Additional kit items are required for this optional course. The additional training can help you feel more confident about entering the beauty industry and ready to deliver various beauty services.

Why should I choose Adrian's College?

We’ve been teaching aspiring beauty professionals since 1956! Our welcoming atmosphere, caring educators, and curriculum have helped prepare students for a future in the beauty industry. We stand out from the competition with two great campuses and programs designed to help you reach your career goals.

What's included in the student kit?

Our student kits have all the tools and books you need to start your cosmetology education. Kits will vary depending on your chosen program, but you’ll be given a full kit list before you begin. You can purchase the kit through us or buy the items yourself, but you’ll be required to have everything on the kit list before you begin your training.
